Pickup and Delivery Options

For your convenience, Raleigh Cakes offers two pickup options along with delivery within and out of Raleigh.

As a reminder, Raleigh Cakes is not a retail/store front bakery! We are a licensed and insured commercial cake studio and all of our cakes are made to order, from scratch, just for you. We do not maintain inventory of ready made cakes or desserts for same day delivery or pickup.

North Raleigh is our most convenient option for pickup, with no appointment needed Monday through Saturday 11:30am to 9pm. Just show up when you can the day your cake is ready and grab it!

South Raleigh is by appointment only Thursday, Friday and Saturday with scheduled pickup slots.

We do not offer Sunday pickups at either location, and deliveries for Sundays are limited with weddings and large catered events taking priority. Please plan ahead for pickup on Saturday.

With minor exception depending on flavors chosen, our cakes stay fresh and delicious in the fridge for 2-3 days, so pickup/delivery can be the day before an event without worry if you have the refrigeration space!

A 15-minute pickup window is provided to ensure that we maintain our current order schedule and avoid delays for other customer orders. If your scheduled appointment is missed or you are late, you must reschedule for the next available slot, which may take up to 1-2 hours or see the options below.

We understand plans change, but we do not make exceptions to this policy due to past abuse. We will not compromise our in production work, or other scheduled appointment times for our other customers and extend this same commitment to your order.

If you miss the 4:45pm slot (Thur/Fri) or 11:45am slot (Sat), you may either:

Pick up at our North Raleigh location after 6:30pm ($25 transfer fee), or
Pay a $25 per 30 min wait fee, if we are able to wait.
Reschedule to the next day
Schedule delivery, if available, at out of area rate ($35 plus $1.00 per mile round trip)

Please plan to arrive early to avoid rescheduling or fees. For more flexibility, choose our North Raleigh location.

Delivery within Raleigh (and surrounding areas within 15 miles of either of our locations):

Delivery fee is $25

(Weddings and catered events will be quoted based on time/distance/setup requirements.)

Delivery to Surrounding Areas over 15 miles:

Delivery fees start at $35

The final amount determined by distance in excess of 15 miles, time, and setup needs priced at $1 per mile round trip, and $35/hr round trip rounded to the half hour.

For example, if delivering to Durham and it is 22 miles this would be calculated as:

$35 base (includes 1 hour)
44 Miles round trip minus 15 miles equals 29
$35 + $29 = $64 delivery fee
